1. Information We Collect

VINDICATE is designed to be a lightweight study tool. We collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide a personalized experience:

  • Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we store your name, email address, and profile picture to maintain your user session.
  • Study Data: We store the results of your practice sessions, including your submitted diagnoses, scores, and timestamp, so you can track your progress.
  • Anonymous Sessions: If you use the app without signing in, we create a temporary anonymous ID to allow you to interact with clinical cases during that browser session.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used solely for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with a history of your past clinical challenges.
  • To improve our AI-generated patient cases by identifying common diagnostic gaps (using anonymized, aggregated data).
  • To communicate important updates about the VINDICATE platform.

3. AI Processing

VINDICATE utilizes Google Gemini AI to generate clinical scenarios and differentials. When you submit a chief complaint or feedback, that text is processed by AI models. We do not transmit your personally identifiable information (like your email) to the AI engine for case generation.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your personal information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your clinical performance history with medical schools, residency programs, or employers unless you explicitly choose to export and share that data yourself.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you or request its deletion from the platform at any time.
